Welcome to the new website of Evastaff Kennels.  We hope you enjoy browsing our pages, which will be periodically updated with new information, photo's and pedigree's of dogs past and present.

Evastaff is the breeders prefix of Mark and Wendy Evans who purchased their first Staffordshire Bull Terrier whilst living in New South Wales in 1980. 

 In later years we returned to Tasmania to live.

Our first Stafford was Ch. Dorffats Shanrick King (Boswell) and he introduced us to the world of dogs and dog shows. 

Of course Boswell was lonely and needed a girl friend and hence came along Ch. Nitemarch Petite Miss (Bonnie). 

Boswell and Bonnie became our children, and we campaigned them both to their Australian Champion titles around the show scene in New South Wales. 

Soon we were to produce our first litter - Bonnie was mated to a new English Import of the time

ROCELLIO CAPTAIN MORGAN (IMPORT UK)

and hence EVASTAFF became our breeders Prefix and we had our first litter of Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

  Bonnie whelped 3 puppies, and we kept two of them.  Our bitch from the litter went onto become our first home bred Australian Champion:

 Ch. Evastaff Morgans Lass. 

At Evastaff we have over 20 years experience in the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. 

We have owned and/or bred numerous Australian Champions, having also won many in Group

and In Show Awards. 

Evastaff's commitment to the breed was demonstrated further in 1993 with the importation of 2 Staffords from Donnella's Staffordshire Bull Terriers U.K:

Our bloodlines enable us to consistently produce a

variety of colour such as brindle, black/brindle,

red, white and pied.

This website also includes our American Staffordshire Terriers.  Although we no longer breed Amstaffs, we are however still very interested in the breed and its development in this Country.

Evastaff were one of the pioneers of the American Staffordshire Terrier in Australia having imported the following dogs:

Australian Champion Moonstone Red Rudy (Import NZ)

In addition Evastaff were the breeders of Australia's first dual Champion AST:

We also owned and campaigned the first Australian bred Amstaff to his Australian Champion title: 

Australian Champion Amstaff Mi Yankee Boy

  We were heavily involved in showing for over 20 years, and have owned and bred many worthy Australian Champions in both breeds.
